Yonsei University serves as the "alma mater" (Fostering mother) of all arts and sciences to nurture leaders who will contribute to international society, in the ecumenical spirit of Christian teaching epitomized in its motto of “truth and freedom.” Yonseians will inherit mankind’s cultural legacy, and lead academic development by creativity and critical ability. We will also serve our neighbors with an open heart, and contribute to the prosperity of the mankind. With such missions, us Yonseians will demonstrate our leadership to realize the Yonsei spirit in the world.
